Pilgrimage prayer

I have posted a series of pilgrimage prayers that we used on our "Camino de Tupelo," as our bishop calls it, celebrating the feast of St James on July 25. These prayers were prayed at four different prayer stations that we had along the pilgrimage route.

Almighty God, loving Father,
You who guide us along a path on our pilgrimage on our life,
You who guide us to our promised inheritance in Heaven,
Pour out your blessings upon us as we make this pilgrimage this morning in honor of St James the Apostle.
Strengthen our steps with Your grace.
Enlighten our hearts with Your love.
May we offer this pilgrimage in reparation for our own sins and for the sins of the world.
May we offer this pilgrimage for peace and justice.
May we offer this pilgrimage in solidarity with the poor and the oppressed of the world.
May this journey of faith help us be aware of your blessings and your grace at work in our lives.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary and the holy Angels surround us with love and lead us to the joy of your Beloved Son.
Through the intercession of James and the saints, may God keep us safe from all evil, in body, mind and soul, and from every attack of the enemy.
May the Precious Blood of Jesus bless us with mercy until at last we stand in the holy presence of God, the most high.

We ask this prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with the Father in communion with the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
