Photos from a day on the Camino -

I have been back over a week now, and the memories still keep coming back.  The first photo is of the ruins of a pilgrims' hostel (it was called a hospital back then, because so many of the pilgrims were injured or sick).  It was built in 1185 - amazing how far the pilgrimage dates back.

The second photo is of a chain link fence that stretched for miles along a busy road.  The pilgrims have put up crosses made from twigs and other materials.  You can make them out on the fence if you look carefully.

Third photo is of some stones that the pilgrims have stacked up on the side of the road, little markers of faith along the way.

Buen Camino, everyone!   That is what the pilgrims say to each other - have a good way  - have a good journey.  I wish all of you the same.
