I took these photos driving back from Belzoni this evening.
This was taken in the community of Midnight, Mississippi
in Humphreys County. Cotton production has been way
down in Mississippi in recent years, but I read recently that
the acreage of cotton planted in Mississippi this year is up about
47% compared to last year. The farmers I've spoken to are
hoping for a good harvest this year. We pray for our farmers
at all of our masses.
